Its normal to have many questions before signing up to classes, so hopefully the following will answer all yours. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to email us.


What happens in a class?

For your first class please arrive 10 minutes earlier so we can do the paperwork and start the class on time.
We always start with a warm up, this helps your body loosen & strengthen in preparation for class. After warm up we train in pole moves, tricks or choreography. And then class finishes with cool down & stretching to increase flexability.

What do I wear?

Just wear comfortable gym wear ( just without the tights or long pants ) with short shorts or skorts with a t-shirt or singlet this ensures maximum skin contact & grip on the pole.
Bare feet for class but if you wish to bring a pair of heels to wear you are more than welcome, its not compulsory though. Please wear a height you are comfortable in & also make sure they have an ankle strap, as slip on shoes can become a dangerous flying object.

We ask that all hand & arm jewellery, dangly earings & belt buckles are to be removed to avoid damage to the poles & yourselves.


I feel a little intimidated to try...

Please don't feel intimidated, you will find most of us are mums, normal girls, women of all shapes and sizes, all ages and all different fitness levels. We are all there for different personal reasons, but most of us are there to feel good, get fit, have fun, make new friends and learn new amazing ways our body works and what we can achieve and not to mention the confidence we build.
I am a mum of four myself, I am far from perfect, but I love taking time out for myself, keeping fit and teach girls who never thought it possible. It is such a confidence building fitness and I love seeing the progression and growth of all the beautiful women at our Studio.

Why can't I moisturise?

Please make sure not to put on moisturiser, tanning lotion or any oils prior to class.
It is for your safety and the safety of your classmates. Moisturising can leave your hands slippery & also leave a slippery residue on the pole & can make tricks quite dangerous & therfore much more difficult.

Do I need to be fit or athletic to try pole dance?

Not at all. The courses have been specifically designed for women of all ages, fitness levels & abilities.
So each class is designed specifically to develop the strengths & skills to move on to the next level.
Each & everyone of us started somewhere & you may discover muscles you never even thought existed.

What are the fitness benefits of pole dancing?

Pole dancing gives you a great cardiovascular workout, which raises your heart rate and burns fat. What you also get from pole dancing is improved muscle definition and toning all over especially in  areas such as arms, abs, thighs and bottom. It also improves your balance, strength your stability and your posture, along with confidence & body awareness. So why not try some fitness with some fun!

Are there any risks involved in Pole Dancing?

As with any form of activity there is some risk involved.
You may find a couple of bruises or a little pole burn after class but they should fade quickly and become less frequent as your strength and skill develop.

What if I miss a class?

Please give 24 hours notice that you can't make the class & we can slot you into another convenient available lesson, it has to be made up in the term that you have paid for... otherwise the class is forfeited.


* Please choose carefully when booking classes, as your class fees are non-transferable or refundable for ANY reason. Your payment secures your place into this class. We may be unable to fill your place if you cancel.
If in the event of injury or illness and notified 1 week before new term, you can defer (with request and permission from management) your class to the following term only. You can only defer your class, or payments once a year.
* Classes are subject to running with a minimum of 5 girls, and might be cancelled if the class does not make minimum numbers. If this occurs, you can transfer to another class, OR a full refund will be given. 

 

Can I make up my own class with friends?

If you can get a minimum of 5 friends who will commit to a six week course class at the same time every week at the begining of each term and we can settle on a time slot that is avalable, you are more than welcome to create your own class with friends. Please email or phone for time slots & availabilities. 

Do I have to be a member? 

You actually do not need to be a member. But a non member pays casual full time prices for all classes. 

A VIP yearly member at our studios are offered a cheaper rate for paying in advance in full for a much lower rate than a casual paying a casual price. A VIP member also gets free practice / training and half hour stretch classes* when they are booked into a term class. * specific times, check current timetables. 

A Term membership entitles you to discounted extra classes. (unless specified in a deal)

Our Term and VIP Members get discounted prices for extra classes casually

So being a member means you get multiple discounted rates over each year on classes, workshops* and merchandise etc. If you are not a member you will be required to pay the full amount at a casual rate per class, workshop or merchandise. (*excludes national & international visitors workshops) 

Can you Explain Exactly what is included in a VIP Membership 

You pay a once a year membership

You never have to pay term memberships on top of fees in that current year.

If you are a VIP member you are entitled to FREE casual / practice training and half hour stretch classes for that whole year while ever you are booked into a term course. 

A VIP is entitled to an earlybird discount at the beginning of every term (dates specified each term, outside that date, full payment is required)

Can I get a refund ?

Refund and Cancelation Policy

NO Refunds on change of Mind.
* Please choose carefully when booking classes, as your class fees are non-transferable or refundable for ANY reason. Your payment secures your place into this class. We may be unable to fill your place if you cancel.
If in the event of injury or illness and notified 1 week before new term, you can defer (with request and permission from management) your class to the following term only. You can only defer your class, or payments once a year. No exceptions.
If you change your mind after booking and paying; a $50 Cancellation fee will occur and the balance remaining will be sent to you in a form of a gift voucher that can only be used at Bella Bliss Studios, which can be re sold or used in the dates written on the voucher. (3 month period after cancellation)
No cash refunds will be given whatsoever.
